LI: Today we had to make a narrative based around a holiday
It was a brisk summers morning, as the sun rose over the nearby mountains, the birds chirped as if their final breaths were being deprived from there lungs. I had been waiting for this day for months now, today we were going on a well earned holiday. I raced down stairs with my packed bag in one hand and my toothbrush in the other. My Mum, Dad and my little brother were already waiting for me by the kitchen table. “Everybody in the car, now!” Mum had been planing this trip for almost a year now, and i could tell she wanted everything to go to plan. That's just like Mum, always making schedules and charts and always on time. One by one we made our way into the minivan.
Fast forward five and a half hours, and we arrived at our destination. We ripped all of the luggage out of the car and proceeded into the bach where we would be staying for the next week. Once we got settled in, I asked mum if I could go for a walk along the beach. I had read all about this place, and its beautiful views, and I couldn't wait to explore. “Yes” responded my mum “but you have to take your brother” “UGHH” I sighed, hes so annoying, but we all know what mum says goes, and there's no arguing with her. At the time, I was 14 and my brother was 7, so you could see why I didn't want to go with him.
I grabbed my little brother and followed the path down to the bright golden beach. About 1-2 K’s later, I decided we should turn around, except something was wrong. I guess i wasn't paying attention, and my little brother had run away. I knew my mum was gonna kill me, so I sprinted up the beach, but in front of me stood a large crowd. “That's gotta be almost everybody in town” I thought to myself. They were surrounding something… something big. By the time I approached the large crowd I was astonished. I had never seen anything like this In my life, and clearly neither had any of these people, cause they were all taking photos. I pushed everybody out of my way. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, yet I could feel its energy covering me like a cloak. In front of me stood what looked like an 80 foot squid with scars and wounds all over it. One of the squids eyes was gone and it was missing several tentacles. Whatever got into a fight with this squid clearly won. Whatever killed that squid was still out there. And I was gonna find it.
